Andrew Haines – Chief Executive Officer

At age 19 Andrew created his first business, which was in the commercial construction industry.
From there Andrew & Leah founded a window coverings retail business, which had three locations. In 2001 the couple started their first sports teams while also developing a specialty advertising company called Biz Sellers.
Through Biz Sellers, Andrew & Leah have personally bought and sold dozens of businesses in a variety of sectors.
Since 2001 the Andrew has started over 30 minor league sports teams in indoor football, hockey, and basketball. In addition to sports team ownership, the pair also has owned several minor league sports leagues in indoor football, hockey, and basketball.
The Haines’s currently have ownership in multiple businesses including a Marketing Agency and Manufacturing Company. They volunteer at several charities, and have served as board members on 3 non-profit organizations. The couple has a daughter Natira, and son A.J..
Michael R. Favazza, CPA - Chief Financial Officer
Favazza was born in and has been a lifelong resident of St. Louis. He is the owner of Favazza & Associates, LLC, a Certified Public Accounting and Business Consulting firm located in St. Charles County. Michael is a graduate of the University of Missouri St. Louis and has worked in public accounting for over 30 years.
Favazza said he enjoys working with business owners and individuals to help them achieve their financial goals. His philosophy of being a financial partner in each business and with each business owner is the key to his many successes. Favazza has served on many Boards of Directors and has served in leadership positions for associations that serve the St. Louis and St. Charles communities.
Leah Haines – President
Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Leah attended Lancaster Bible College, in Lancaster, PA. While in school, she met her husband Andrew.
Leah is the steering wheel of the daily operations with the St. Louis Ambush. In addition to overseeing the daily operations of the Ambush, and its subsidiaries, she keeps Andrew in line!
Leah co-founded a window coverings retail business with 3 locations. Since 2001 she has worked with Andrew in starting over 30 minor league sports teams throughout the country. Over the last 13 years Leah has held ownership interest in a variety of business ventures.

Brian Roth – Assistant General Manager
Brian was born and raised in Chester, IL (Home of Popeye The Sailorman) and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in May, 2000 with a B.A. Degree in Recreation Management. He grew up a die-hard fan of the St. Louis Steamers, Storm, and Ambush and has extensive knowledge of indoor soccer.
After working part-time with the Ambush during his college years, Brian spent seven years as the Director of Leagues and Fitness for the City of Perryville, MO at their $10 million Perry Park Center. While living in Perryville, he also served as PA Announcer for the Southeast Missouri State women’s soccer team and football team. He then moved to Kansas City in December, 2007 to take a Sales Executive position in the Youth Soccer Department with the Kansas City Wizards (now Sporting KC) of Major League Soccer.
In August, 2010, Brian left the Wizards to help start the Missouri Comets of the MISL as a Senior Account Executive. After Comets ownership added additional sports teams in 2011, Brian was promoted to Ticket Sales Manager for not only the Comets, but also the KC Command of the Arena Football League and FC Kansas City of the National Women’s Soccer League (began in 2013).
Brian is excited about moving back to St. Louis and looking forward to reviving professional soccer in the St. Louis Metro area. In his spare time, Brian enjoys spending time with family and friends, plays indoor soccer as much as possible, and is an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, FC Kansas City, US Soccer and the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks.
Jim Fossell – Director of Public Relations
Jim Fossell is a lifelong St. Louis area resident and an avid fan of indoor soccer dating back to the original Steamers in the 1980’s.
Jim’s experience includes doing public relations and marketing work for professional wrestling, indoor soccer, small businesses and numerous elected officials throughout the St. Louis area.
When it was announced that the World Indoor Soccer League had awarded a franchise to the Steamers to play at the Family Arena starting in 2000, Jim built his first website. “St. Louis Steamers – An Unofficial Website by Jim Fossell” grew to become a prominent site, earning accolades from players and fans alike.
When new owners took over the franchise prior to the 2004-05 season, one of them visited Jim’s unofficial website and was impressed with what he saw. That eventually led to Fossell joining the Steamers front office as webmaster of the team’s official website in December 2004. Jim’s duties were later expanded to include writing press releases, creating graphics for promotional materials, and authoring the “View from the Stands” column.
When the St. Louis Ambush franchise was announced, Fossell created his unofficial Ambush website (ambushfans.com), which also features one of the most complete compilations of St. Louis Indoor Soccer History found anywhere.
Jim is excited about the resurgence of professional indoor soccer in the St. Louis metro area and said, “I am truly honored to be part of the Ambush franchise and looking forward to contribute to the club’s success.” The 2014-15 season is Jim’s second with the Ambush and fourth in professional indoor soccer. When not working, Jim enjoys spending time with family and friends, bowling, and admits he is addicted to his favorite television show, The Walking Dead.
Kevin Fowler – Director of Digital Media
Kevin Fowler, who was born in raised in St. Louis, is a 2010 graduate of Hazelwood West High School and 2014 graduate of Webster University. While at Webster, Fowler earned a BA in Media Communications and minored in Audio Production. He recently completed a fall internship with the St. Louis Ambush.
Kevin has also spent 4 years working in radio, the last 2+ years at 101 ESPN as a board operator and producer. In his free time, Kevin is a huge sports fan! He enjoys rooting for the Ambush, Attack, Rams, Blues and Cardinals, along with the Mizzou Tigers, the Oregon Ducks, the Baltimore Orioles and U.S. Soccer.
Dylan Anderson – Sales Executive
Dylan Anderson was born in Kusel Germany, and moved to Wentzville Missouri in 1997. He grew up in Wentzville and attended Holt High School and quickly found out that he wanted to pursue a career in sales due to his involvement in a marketing organization at school.
He is currently attending St. Charles Community College to pursue his Associate Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing. Dylan served as an intern for the Ambush from July to November before becoming a full time Sales Executive. In his free time Dylan loves to play frisbee golf with his girlfriend, Karlie, and watch or talk about soccer with his friends. He is a huge fan of the St. Louis Ambush, Everton Football Club, and the U.S. Men’s National Team.
Ian Fruend – Director of Merchandise, Camps and Clinics
Ian Fruend is a St. Charles native who attended Lutheran High School in St. Charles and recently graduated from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO, with a degree in Recreation, Sport, and Park Administration. Prior to accepting his new position, Fruend worked in sales, community relations and game day operations while interning with the Ambush.
